The Quality Improvement Fund (QIF), which is the third component of the Tertiary Education Project, started in 2005. Its main objective is to provide support to improve the quality of Palestinian tertiary education institutions and programs so they are (i) relevant to the job market and economic development of Palestine; (ii) made competitive with international standards; and (iii) capable of developing income generating programs.
To date, 53 projects were granted within 6 cycles of projects. All the 45 projects funded through the first 5 cycles have been completed and the remaining 8 projects that are currently under implementation, were funded through the 6th cycle of projects which is entitled “The Pre-Service Teacher Education Development Program”.
